Anthropologie: an imaginative and inspiring ‘modern vintage’ May 5, 2009

ANTHROPOLOGIE

Anthropologie brand promises unique, sort of one-of-a-kind (not a mass produced everyday design) fashion statement from clothing, accessories to kitchenware and home décor. All lines are colorful but tasteful, cute but not cloying, earthy and bohemian but not hippy, classy Victorian embellishment, inspirational and imaginative. Going to the store is like a world expedition, most likely you will find something new, unique and somewhat ethic.

Antropologie is IMAGINATIVE

The brand definition and scope is broad. It is a good thing since there are plenty of room to innovate both of the product offering and design, however they have to make sure that it’s within their brand breath and not just cycling through the product design they have had earlier

Innovative quality of the brand:  embellished and colorful but still classy

The brand would still survive in another 5 years, provided they can still source innovative, embellished but classy products, not just cycling through the products they have had in the past.

I always associate ‘modern vintage’ with this brand
